About Robert (Bobby) Novak

First visiting Costa Rica in 2011, he participated in a Notre Dame School of Architecture program led by Professor Douglas Duany, contributing to the master plan for Las Catalinas. In 2012, he relocated full-time to Playa Flamingo, where he served as Town Architect for Las Catalinas, playing a key role in the development of one of Costa Rica’s most iconic coastal communities.

After several years working closely with the development team and clients across all stages of the design and construction process, he assumed the role of Director of Sales and Design. This experience led him to partner with land and property owners, offering turnkey fee-development services for projects at various stages, from raw land development and condominium segmentation to fully custom residential builds.

An avid traveler, he and his partner, Susana, founded Hacienda La Luna Guanacaste, a private vacation rental property surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine tropical dry forest. Originally created to host friends and family, the project expanded through the acquisition of neighboring properties and now offers a selection of private villas designed for high-end rental experiences.

He brings extensive local knowledge of Costa Rica’s real estate and construction markets, helping clients make informed investment decisions aligned with long-term growth. In addition to assisting buyers in finding their ideal home or building site, he supports clients throughout the design and build process and in preparing properties for income-producing rental potential.
